Township 28, Range 26.
Erik Peterson, Land Development, presented the case and
reported that 18 mailers were sent on 4/9/2026 with 2
oppositions. 1 board was posted on 4/2/2026, and the legal ad
was published in the Polk Sun on 4/8/2026.
Aleya Inglima, Case Planner, showed a power point presentation;
has a recommendation of approval and stood for questions.

Minutes: Chairwoman Trish Pfeiffer called the TPO Board meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
2. Confirmation of Quorum
Minutes: KC Rivera, Polk TPO staff, confirmed a quorum. Commissioner Dawn McDonald
represented the South County Bloc; no representatives were present for the Central County or
Ridge Blocs. Advisory Council members in attendance included Wayne Gaither (FDOT), Ryan
Kordek (Polk TPO), and Dane Norman (Polk County Legal).
Chairwoman Trish Pfeiffer welcomed new TPO Board members, Commissioners Terry
Coney and Ashley Troutman of Lakeland, and acknowledged updated titles for several
board members.
3. Opportunity for Public Comment
Minutes: Chairwoman Pfeiffer opened the floor for public comment.
Sharon Garrett expressed concerns about the potential loss of her family land in
connection with the planned Central Polk Parkway.
