At the regular meeting of the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors held in the Administration Building of said county on January 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Present: Walter T. Bailey, Chairman Noah Davis, Vice Chairman Sherry Tharpe Adrienne Campbell Derek Toombs J. Miller Adams Henry Carwhile Absent: Chairman Bailey called the meeting to order. County Administrator Landon Green read the Code of Accessibility. Vice Chairman Davis gave the invocation. Supervisor Toombs led the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion was made by Vice Chairman Davis and seconded by Supervisor Toombs, with all members voting aye, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion made by Vice Chairman Davis, seconded by Supervisor Carwile, and carried with all other members voting yes, to approve the minutes from the regular December 10, 2025 meeting and the Special Called Meeting held January 2, 2026. Committee Reports: No updates were provided. Public Comments Mr. James “Buck” Tharpe, Chairman of the Southside Soil and Water Board expressed concerns over the water dams included the in Tall Pines Solar project, explaining the need for said dams to be structurally sound and asking for clarity in construction plans to prevent the dams from being affected.
