Council approves $2.27 million in budget amendments for drainage and park projects
The St. Charles Parish Council voted to adopt seven budget amendments, moving more than $2.2 million from the General Fund to specific drainage and recreation funds. The amendments fund drainage improvements at Cypress Lakes, TB River Park, Fairfield & Oakland, 4th Street, Diane Place, Oak Street, Hahnville Watershed, and canal stabilization, as well as repairs at New Sarpy Park and 9th Street Park. An ordinance to adopt the FY 2025 consolidated operating and capital budget will be heard at a public hearing on November 4, 2024.
