High Valley Transit to issue up to $18.5M in refunding bonds
The High Valley Transit District Board of Trustees has authorized the issuance of up to $18.5 million in Sales Tax Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2026, to refund existing sales tax revenue bonds and achieve debt service savings. The bonds may be sold at a price not less than 98% of principal, with interest rates not exceeding 5% per annum, and will mature within 25 years. The district pledges up to 100% of certain Summit County sales and use taxes as security. A 30-day public comment period is open to contest the legality of the bonds.
