Edmond boards weigh major infrastructure spending, rezoning votes in busy meeting week
City Council set to vote on rezoning, leases, and utility contracts
The Edmond City Council and Public Works Authority had the busiest agenda of the week on July 27, with public hearings and votes scheduled on multiple rezoning requests and several large-dollar contracts.
The council was set to hold public hearings and vote on rezoning for Legacy at Covell (Ordinance 4088) on Covell Road east of Sooner Road, and for Club Car Wash (Ordinance 4089) on Covell Road west of Sooner Road. A lease agreement with Spearman Investments for office space at 7 N. Broadway was listed at $14,975 per month, or $179,700 annually.
Other council items included approval of a bid disposition for utility line clearance services for the Electric Utility, estimated at $1,003,601.73 per year, and payment of a $150,000 performance-based sales tax incentive to Showbiz Cinema. A budget amendment for CDBG funds was also on the agenda.

Public Works Committee considers $1.63M gas main relocation

Stormwater board discusses drainage, infrastructure funding
