The Cass County Commission held multiple work sessions and business meetings between July 6 and July 15. Because minutes have not yet been released, what follows reflects only what was on the agendas — not what was decided.
July 6 (two sessions): The commission scheduled a review of the Commission Administrative Assistant job description, with a planned vote to close part of the meeting to discuss personnel records under RSMo 610.021.13. A separate work session with the Road and Bridge Director was set to cover the Poney Creek Bridge Deck Replacement and 155th Street paving.
July 7: A work session for department head updates on county operations and projects, plus budget and purchasing reminders. No votes or formal decisions were scheduled.
July 8: The commission was set to consider multiple lot splits and rezoning applications, including Application #3201 (minor subdivision of 38.44 acres at Kircher Rd and 307th Street into five tracts) and Application #3202 (subdivision of 40 acres at 20500 S Pryor Rd into four lots). Also on the agenda: Resolution No. 26-63 (change order with HS GovTech Solutions Inc. for food program inspection services), Resolution No. 26-64 (agreement with Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for a cities readiness initiative), and Resolution No. 26-65 (service repair quotation from Foley Equipment for a Caterpillar RM500B).

July 22: The commission is scheduled to vote on five items: Resolution 26-70 (Amendment No. 1 to the health services contract with MO DHSS for local public health agency infrastructure), Resolution 26-71 (Change Order No. 001 with Delta Innovative Services, Inc. for the Justice Center roofing project at $20,170.00), Resolution 26-72 (bid approval for voting pens from Treetop Enterprises, Inc.), Resolution 26-73 (updated services agreement with Sandberg Phoenix & Von Gontard P.C.), and a collector request to disburse $118,177.58 from the 2025 tax sale surplus to Bedrock Capital 2025 LLC.
July 28 — Planning Board: The board will consider Application #3200, a lot split and rezoning of 29 acres at 18216 S Francy Rd, Pleasant Hill, from Agriculture to Residential Rural (tabled from June). Three additional minor subdivision plats are also on the agenda: Application #3204 (13 acres at 25111 E 199th St, Pleasant Hill, into two RR tracts), Application #3205 (30 acres at 24108 E 175th St, Pleasant Hill, into three 10-acre RR tracts), and Application #3206 (23 acres at 33701 E 275th St, Garden City, into four RR tracts). Decisions will be forwarded to the County Commission.
July 29 — Public hearing: The commission will hold a public meeting on the proposed application for coverage under Missouri DNR General Permit MOR04C for municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4). The county is seeking renewal of its stormwater quality program and will present the outline of the Stormwater Management Plan for 2026–2031. Public comments will be accepted until August 28, 2026, directed to Valerie McCubbin, Building Codes, Zoning & Environmental Health. The commission is gathering input but is not voting on the application at this meeting.
