Chagrin Falls council set to adopt FY 2027 tax budget; recent meeting outcomes not yet published
Chagrin Falls Village Council was scheduled July 13 to vote on Resolution No. 2026-44, adopting the fiscal year 2027 alternative tax budget and declaring it an emergency measure. Minutes for that meeting and four others held in the past two weeks have not yet been published, so outcomes are not available. The resolution was introduced by Administration & Finance Director Erinn Grube and required a two-thirds vote of council to take effect. If adopted, the Clerk would certify the budget to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer and post it on the village website for at least fifteen days. No other legislative items were on the council agenda.
Architectural Board of Review (July 7)
The board was set to review seven property submissions. Final-plan items included a new single-family dwelling at 498 Solon Rd, demolition and a new garage/mud room at 59 West Washington, and demolition of an existing building with a lot split at 108 East Summit. Preliminary items included a new second-floor rear addition at 130 South Main and a new single-family dwelling at 456 East Washington. Minutes are not yet published, so decisions are not known.
Cemetery Commission (July 8)
The agenda listed cemetery expansion, the cemetery budget, columbarium space, Memorial Day planning, and a memorial bench review by Katie Lockemer. These items affect long-term burial capacity and maintenance spending, but outcomes are not yet recorded.
Safety Committee (July 13)
The committee was scheduled to discuss grant applications for updated signal equipment, traffic map updates, East Washington striping, and the Miles Road speed limit. Minutes are pending.
Administration and Finance Committee (July 13)
The committee planned to discuss a draft of the Special Event Policy and seek approval of minutes from May 11 and June 8, 2026. No minutes from the July 13 session are available yet.
