Delafield roundup: Art submissions under review; Board of Review takes up Wal-Mart waiver; Council set to act on street project change order
The only Delafield body to publish official minutes in the past two weeks was the Outdoor Art Committee, which approved its April 23, 2025 minutes and adjourned its July 9 session so members could further review more than 50 new art submissions. Each member will rank the submissions and send their top five choices to Jori Hartwig by July 17. Discussion of new business and recruitment strategies was postponed to the July 21, 2026 meeting.
Lake Welfare Committee — July 8
The committee met July 8 to consider a boathouse remodel application (DELC 0788.020) at 1407 Milwaukee Street. Additional agenda topics included the "Welcome to the Lake" program, wakesurfing recommendations, erosion and storm-runoff concerns on the east side of Nagawicka Lake, and aerator and no-wake rule matters. Minutes have not yet been published, so no actions are confirmed.
Library Board — July 14
The Delafield Public Library Board was scheduled to discuss upcoming board elections and consider action on a programming presenter contract. The agenda also included reports from the Bridges Library System, the Friends of the Library, and the fiduciary report, plus setting the date for the next board session. Minutes are not yet available.
Promotion & Tourism Commission — July 14
The commission was set to review its May 31, 2026 financial report and discuss the 2027 budget, with particular attention to trail debt. Other items included the Q2 2026 hotel tax income report, voucher approval for February and March expenses, and possible approval of May 12, 2026 meeting minutes. Minutes are not yet published.
Board of Review — July 15
The Board of Review held its first full meeting July 15 at 4:00 PM in the Common Council Chambers, 500 Genesee St. The agenda was largely procedural, covering written objection filing requirements and restrictions on telephone testimony. The board was scheduled to certify corrections to the 2026 assessment roll under Wis. Stat. 70.43 and consider a waiver request for Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust's property at 2863 Heritage Dr (tax key DELC 0804.994.021). An objection hearing for 3280 Waterleaf Lane (tax key DELC 0754.013) was also listed, along with review of notices of intent to file objections for five properties on Golf Rd. No outcomes are confirmed; minutes are not yet published.

Common Council — July 20, 2026. The council will consider Change Order No. 1 for the 2026 Street Improvement Program on Nagawicka Road East, which adds geogrid and base-repair costs and removes Woodland Park Drive to keep the project within budget. The agenda also includes a liquor-agent change for Aldi #92 at 2840 Heritage Dr (Nicole Baker as successor agent for Class A Combination Liquor License 17-12627LIQ), a conditional-use and developer's agreement for The Hobby Farm at 112 S. Cushing Park Rd, Class B Beer and Class C Wine license applications for The Delafield LLC and Graham & Co LLC at 727 Genesee St, and peddlers' permits for individuals representing Aptive Environmental for the period June 29 through September 29, 2026.
