Wahkiakum County approves $934,344 in vouchers, roadside mowing contract
The Wahkiakum County Board of County Commissioners approved $934,344.17 in vouchers and a $56,443.76 roadside mowing contract during its July 7 meeting, the largest financial actions taken in the past two weeks.
Board of County Commissioners — July 7
The board passed all items on a 3-0 vote, according to official minutes. In addition to the voucher approval, the board accepted Bush Whacker's LLC's bid of $56,443.76 for roadside mowing.
The board also approved an Open Space Taxation Agreement for Parcel 311006-420002, adopted Resolution No. 85-26 for the Grays River Flood Control District riprap acquisition, and approved DSHS Program Agreement #2663-69511 for developmental disabilities services. Misty Ortiz was appointed to the Workforce Southwest Washington Board.
The July 7 meeting was adjourned and rescheduled to July 14 at 8:00 a.m. so commissioners could attend the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments Regional Information Forum Meeting.

Fair Board — July 8 (agenda only)
The Fair Board was scheduled to review reports from the Fair Manager and committees, with old business on grounds modifications and rental prices and new business on fair pass pricing, a T-shirt contract and design, and the Fair Foundation. Minutes have not been published.
