Beloit council to weigh Hickory Drive development plan, Riverside Apartments agreement
City Council set to consider Hickory Drive PUD and zoning changes
The Beloit City Council has scheduled public hearings and action on a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Master Land Use Plan for properties at 2209 and 2217 Hickory Drive. The item, listed as Resolution 2026-089, carries a Plan Commission recommendation of 7–0. The council will also take up Ordinance No. 3916, amending the Zoning District Map for 2209 and 2217 Hickory Drive on first reading, and Ordinance No. 3915, amending the Zoning District Map for 2501 Kadlec Drive, also on first reading.
A closed-session discussion is scheduled on a fire and EMS services consolidation agreement. A public discussion on a data-center development is also set to be added to the agenda.
Consent items include Riverside Apartments agreement and free bus fare
The council's consent agenda includes Resolution 2026-094, approving the HOME-ARP Agreement for the Riverside Apartments Project, and Resolution 2026-088, approving free bus fare for riders attending the July 20, 2026 Housing Resources Fair. Plan Commission to take up 625 Third Street and Heritage Grove
The Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on a PUD Master Land Use Plan for 625 Third Street and consider Ordinance No. 3918, amending the Zoning District Map for that property. The commission will also consider Resolution 2026-24, approving an Extraterritorial Preliminary Plat of Heritage Grove in the Town of Beloit.
Status reports are scheduled on the rezoning of 2501 Kadlec Drive and on the PUD Master Land Use Plan and rezoning for 2209 and 2217 Hickory Drive. Minutes from the June 17 meeting will be reviewed.
Park commission to review Big Hill disc golf and maintenance
The Park, Recreation & Conservation Advisory Commission will discuss the Big Hill Park disc golf course, multi-use path sweeping, park system trash receptacles, Friends of the Parks, and a staff report on park conditions.
Housing Resources Fair scheduled for July 20
The Equal Opportunities Commission will hold a Housing Resources Fair on July 20, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at the Beloit Public Library. No official commission business is scheduled. Disability accommodation requests can be directed to the City Clerk's Office at 364-16680.
Plan Commission meeting cancelled
