The Elko County Board of Commissioners met July 10 with several financial items on its agenda. The board was scheduled to consider a professional services agreement with J-U-B Engineers for $141,765 related to the Jackpot Airport, and an award of a construction contract to Stonehouse Drilling & Construction for $339,450.

Board of Health: Opioid Response Plan and Quarterly Reports
The Board of Health met July 13 to consider approving the Elko County Opioid Use Disorder Community Needs Assessment and Opioid Response Plan. According to the agenda, the plan is required to maintain eligibility for funding through the Nevada Fund for a Resilient Nevada. The plan was prepared by the University of Nevada Reno and state health offices and does not authorize specific programs or expenditures.
