Itasca boards weigh parking fees, tank cleaning, and more; no decisions yet
Itasca's Village Board and other commissions met over the past two weeks, but none of the meetings have published minutes yet, so no final decisions have been reported. The Village Board's agenda included the most consequential items: a proposed change to off-street parking fees and a bid for the elevated storage tank cleaning.
Village Board
The Village Board met Aug. 18. Its agenda included an ordinance to amend Chapter 78, Schedule IV, which would change off-street parking fees and hours (Ord. 2192-26). The board also considered a resolution to accept the lowest bid of $26,800 from National Wash Authority LLC for the 2026 Elevated Storage Tank Cleaning Project (Resolution 1726-26).
Other items on the agenda:
- Resolution 1727-26 approving a conversion proposal and annual maintenance contracts for Metra parking kiosks with Total Parking Solutions.
- Ordinance 2191-26 approving a special use permit for a "Garage, Public" in the M Limited Manufacturing District (PC 26-013).
- Monthly financial report ending June 30, 2026, for information only.
Police Pension Board

The board also considered membership applications from Daniel Ferreyra and Andrew Treppa, a withdrawal by Marisa Ciccola, and a service credit transfer from Article 3 to IMRF for John Gruskovak. Officer elections and FOIA/OMA designee appointments were also on the agenda.

The Aug. 10 regular meeting was routine, with minutes, invoices, and public comment.
