County Planning Board recommends denial of Farmington bank site, lakefront variances

The Ontario County Planning Board this week recommended denial of a proposed bank in Farmington and two lakefront variance requests, and approved short-term rental moratoriums in Naples and West Bloomfield. The board's recommendations are advisory to the local towns that requested the reviews.

Planning Board decisions

At its Aug. 12 meeting, the board recommended denial of a proposed bank at 0000 State Route 332 in Farmington, citing concerns about emergency vehicle access and snow storage. At its Aug. 11 meeting, the board recommended denial of area variances for a lakefront home rebuild at 3870 Cove Content in Gorham and a home addition at 5391 Kashong Point in Geneva. It also reviewed 14 referrals, including site plans and subdivisions in Farmington and Geneva, returning several as incomplete or with comments.

The Ways & Means Committee agenda includes a resolution to authorize a donation agreement among Ontario County, Finger Lakes Community College, and the Canandaigua Area Development Corporation for Project H121-26. A second resolution would establish Capital Project H121-26 and transfer its budget.
