At a June 16, 2026 code compliance hearing, Special Magistrate Barnard addressed two new cases. For 157 Island Way (CC-26-33), with no representative present, she ordered compliance with building permit and pool maintenance codes within 30 days, with a $250 per day fine for non-compliance. For 5907 S 37th St (CC-26-78), the property owner appeared, and the magistrate ordered compliance with fence permit and inspection codes within 60 days, also with a $250 per day fine.

City Council

The City Council is voting on three resolutions: a major site plan amendment for a new 6,000 sq ft office/retail building with mezzanine at 3067 S. Jog Road; a special exception and site plan for a 3,018 sq ft drive-through fast-food restaurant at 3969 S. Military Trail; and adoption of the Greenacres Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The council will also receive a presentation on scholarship recipients and hear departmental reports.

All votes were unanimous among the four present members (Councilmember Dugo was absent). No other substantive decisions were made.
