Maybe is on to present the pledge. Oh, excellent. Thank you. To. I'm going to go to my office. Yeah. Go ahead. We'll keep working. Okay. So, MISS, maybe if you don't mind coming off mute and leading us through the Pledge of Allegiance, we would be deeply honored. Okay. I pledge allegiance to the flag. Of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. All. Thank you. Anything interesting you want to share going on in your neck of the woods? Well, I've only been in my neck of the woods for the last month. I work in procurement in the d and c division. Right. Well, the woods will just continue to get more and more complex. Lesher. So thank you. We appreciate you coming on and doing this for us. And welcome. Thanks. The next item on our agenda is the land acknowledgment statement that will be read by Supervisor Scott. Thank you, Chair Allen. On behalf of Pima County residents, we honor the tribal nations who have served as caretakers of this land from time immemorial and respectfully acknowledge the ancestral homelands of the Tohono o'odham Nation and the multi millennial presence of the Pascua Yaqui tribe within Pima County. Consistent with Pima County's commitment to diversity and inclusion, we strive toward building equal partner relationships with Arizona's tribal nations. Thank you. Item number four on the agenda is agenda adjustments. So I will look to Clerk Manriquez to see if there …

Chair. Allen. Supervisor. Kino. Thank you to the director for the update and I wanted to, of course, celebrate the fact that over 186,000 Pima County residents utilized their right to vote in the JULY 21st primary elections, about a 28.9% turnout. As we prepare for the NOVEMBER election, I want to extend a huge thanks to all of our election workers, especially those who were there with the 20,000 or so of our neighbors that voted in person on the day of the election. This takes lots of work and lots of commitment, lots of due diligence, and I have nothing but full confidence in all of our elections and reporters team for doing their due diligence to ensure that we have a safe and secure election. And that is indeed what we had on JULY 21st. Without hearing any further comments, I'd like to motion to approve the canvas of JULY 21st. Discussion, MADAM Chair. Supervisor Christy. Yes. Thank you. It's timely for the elections director's comments, because what I'd just like to state at this point is that due to the limited format of today's special meeting, we'd like to request an after action report from both the elections director and the County recorder's office, outlining opportunities for improvements and any lessons learned during the primary ahead of the upcoming general election. We look forward to discussing such subjects. At the AUGUST 25th Regular Board of Supervisors meeting, and we will be placing an agenda item regarding such. On the AUGUST 25th agenda. If our office …

that for some time, and I I'm actually it's changed a bit, but I know actually, Carmine, when you were still working with the organization, we were looking at revisiting the policy or bringing back recommendations. What's the timeline for that? Might you. So, MADAM Chair, members of the board. County Administrator. This topic is one that I had had a conversation or several with Director Pereira about. So coming out of the adoption of the parks master plan, the firm that assisted us with doing that also has helped communities with this very issue. And we've asked them to help collect a compendium of what other communities are doing around this topic. Currently, our rules do not allow for e-bikes, but we're well aware that e-bike utilization is is occurring and that there are a variety of different conflicts that MAY arise as a result of that. And so we've been gathering up information from which then to come back to the board and give some ideas on possible directions to go. I think that the survey, in fact, validated the desire for utilization of e-bikes. And so it's something that we've started gathering inputs on and then can come back to this board with some recommendations on. Thank you. Thank you, MADAM Chair and Director Deputy Debonis, I have two more questions, and I know Chair Allen, the supervisor Christy, is wanting to also ask after I ask my questions. And related to the e-bikes. It's my understanding as well that we're waiting on some engagement from the County a …

All other board members are present. We do have a quorum. Yes. We'll move to agenda item number two, which is the Pledge of Allegiance. And Supervisor Christy has offered to lead us in that. Thank you. Would you all please join me in our pledge to our flag? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Next item is the land acknowledgment. I so belatedly, I don't know. I belatedly asked Supervisor Kono if you might be willing to read it. I don't know if you have it handy. If you do not, I am happy to. Thank you. Yes, I do have it. Terrific. Thank you. The tribal land acknowledgment is as followed. Thank you, Chair Allen. Thank you. it was recessed. So now this feels silly. That means I am now calling a special meeting to order. So we are now in the special meeting. I will hand it to the clerk for roll call. Supervisor Conover Supervisor Christy. No. Oh. I'm thinking. I know you just kind of get in the habit after a while. Here, supervisor Hines, present, supervisor Scott here, Chair Allen here. Let the record show. All board members are present now because we started the regular meeting with the pledge and land acknowledgment at the regular board meeting. I am going to waive those for this meeting unless any of my colleagues object. Carla Blackwell. Okay, so we will now move to item number four, which is a resolution referring to the voters, a permanent adjustment of $70 million to the 1979 to 80 base expenditure limit of Pima County at the NOVEMBER 3rd, 2026 election. I will move. Yes. Where is that? This is item number four on the special meeting agenda. I move to approve resolution number 2026 dash 23, second seconded by Supervisor Cano. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Opposed. Motion passes for one. Since there is no further business for the special meeting. I move to adjourn the special meeting, seconded by Supervisor Hines. So they'll be hearing the cases in the precincts where they were elected. And we're very pleased to report that. I was able to take a tour of the new offices and courtrooms that …
