Groundwater Nitrate Work Group
Nitrogen pilot program presentation to groundwater work group
The Groundwater Nitrate Work Group will hear a presentation on Wisconsin's Nitrogen Optimization Pilot Program from state experts, receive updates on county farm well sampling and UW Extension projects, and welcome new members. Public comments must be submitted by 7:30 am on August 26, 2026.

Call to Order: Chair Bostwick called the hybrid County Board Staff Committee meeting to
order at 4:30 P.M. in Conference Room N1/N2.
Committee Members Present: Supervisors Bostwick, Tillman, Schwarz, Brien, Schneider,
Bobzien, Peer, Gorman, and Ford.
Committee Members Absent: None.
Staff Members Present: Shanna Sanders, Deputy Corporation Counsel; John Light, County
Administrator; Amy Spoden, Human Resources Director; Hailey Wagner, Assistant to the
County Administrator; Vanessa Beckham, Equity & Engagement Strategist.
Others Present: Supervisors Woodman, Leavy, Abarca, Boehlke; Rick Ellis; Brent Waters; Jay

Approve Agenda: Supervisor Peer moved approval of the agenda as presented, second by

Amy Sather spoke in favor of raising wages for employees as well as adopting the
recommendations from the Health Insurance Advisory Committee.
