The Rockville Mayor and Council will vote on major zoning text and map amendments that implement the city’s Zoning Ordinance Rewrite. Officials will also approve several municipal contracts, including AV equipment for Taft Center and wayfinding signs. Additionally, the council will review road code waivers for residential projects near Research Boulevard and hear a housing needs assessment presentation.

The Mayor and Council will hold a public hearing and vote on Budget Amendment #4 to appropriate funds and levy taxes for FY2026. They will also receive a presentation on Montgomery County's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) plan and discuss a rewrite of the city's election code. Multiple contracts will be considered, including $1.06 million for LED streetlight conversion, $1.19 million for electric shuttle buses, and $730,000 for dark fiber Internet lines.
