The Consulate General of Pakistan, Chicago explained that the FIFA World
Cup soccer balls are made and supplied from Pakistan. A soccer ball was
presented to Mayor Noak along with other items. Mayor Noak shared that
we have an amazing Pakistan community throughout the region.

Dwight Bendel commented that the Police Department doesn't have
access to the names of the active solicitors while Village Hall is closed. He
also commented that residents are using the new sled hill as a dirt bike
path. There are trees that have dead, hanging branches near Romeo
Crossing Park that need to be addressed.

Temporary Construction and Access Easement Agreement (DS
Partners LLC)
Village Attorney, Rich Vogel, stated that this is another significant piece of
the Lake Michigan Water Project. This agreement allows for the existing
Village Water tower to be removed and a new tower to be constructed
adjacent to the site on property currently owned by Hurlihy. Easements will
be granted to each party as the transitions are being made and
construction of the new water tower and removal of the existing tower are
done.

Representatives from the Valley View STEP Program gave a brief
overview of the program and local members of the program shared their
stories.
Mayor Noak thanked all the guests who came out for this presentation.
RES26-4164 A Resolution to Enter into an Agreement with ComEd for
Engineering Design for the Route 53 Cable Relocation Project
Chris Drey, Public Works Director, explained that this resolution approves
the relocation of above ground power lines along Route 53 from Lewis
University to Airport Road. He shared maps of the corridor improvements.
Mayor Noak shared that this is a project that we have been working on for a
long time and will help enhance the way people entering into the community
view Romeoville.
Dawn Caldwell, Village Manager, shared that Lewis has been a great
partner through this project.

A Concept Plan for Commercial Development at the Southwest
Corner of Creekside Drive and Weber Road
Community Development Director, Josh Potter, presented a concept plan
for La Hacienda Carniceria at the corner of Creekside Drive and Weber
Road. They are proposing a 12,000 square foot building for a new full
service grocery store.
Mayor Noak expressed his excitement of this project.
The applicant introduced themselves and shared further information on the
project.
Mayor Noak asked if there will be a restaurant component and they
responded yes.
Trustee Griffin asked to hear more about the restaurant and they shared
about the concept which they have at another location. They also
mentioned a speakeasy component.

RES26-4155 A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Firework Display
Contract with Pyrotecnico Fireworks, Inc.
Village Manager, Dawn Caldwell, explained that staff has spent the off
season testing on sites to ensure that coverage for the community is good.
Because of this, it is recommended to reduce the number of simultaneous
firework shows to two but provide a better fireworks show on July 3rd.
