FOR THE 2026 ABSTRACT OF ASSESSMENT TO THE DIVISION OF PROPERTY
TAXATION
The Board of County Commissionets met at 11:00 a.m. with Bob Overbeck, County Assessor. Chait
Shadduck-McNally presided. Commissioner Stephens was present. Commissionet Kefalas was
excused. Also present were Lorenda Volker, County Manager; Matthew Behunin, Budget Office;
Lisa Thieme, Assessot’s Office; and Deirdre O’Neill, Deputy Clerk.
Assessor Overbeck addressed the Board to present the final abstract of assessment stating that
August 25, 2026, is the date requited to send out the values to all the taxing authorities. Assessor
Overbeck shared that one of the unique items of this yeat’s abstract is that the County has an
assessment tate for residential properties and an assessment rate for school districts. The numbers
presented will reflect the County Board of Equalization (CBOE) adjustments. ‘The total taxable for
local government is $9.513 billion and the total taxable for school districts is $10.230 billion. The
City of Fort Collins will see a 3% dectease in assessed value and the Town of Timnath will see an
inctease of 1% of assessed value. ‘The Town of Timnath is the only jurisdiction that saw an increase
in value given all the new construction and growth. ‘The Poudre School District will see values
adjusted 2.7% lower and the Thompson …
