Reedsburg, WI August 19, 2026 The Public Works Committee for the City of Reedsburg convened a regular meeting, on August 19, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Public Works Building with the following members present: Members Present: Phil Peterson, Jason Schulte, Todd Polk, John Deitrich and Charlie Backeberg Also Present: Steven Zibell, Max Buckner and Ben Lewis from Celblox Motion by Schulte seconded by Deitrich to approve the minutes of July 15th, 2026, meeting. Motion Carried Ben Lewis from Celblox stated it was difficult for semi traffic to get into there driveway when other semi-trucks are parked along Laukant Street. Her presented a map asking if the city can paint the curb yellow. Members were in favor of painting the curb yellow at this time and would look at this issue again if needed. No Action Committee discussed the downtown hourly parking signs along the streets and in parking lots. They decided to start removing these signs when time permitted since there is no strict enforcement unless it is complaint driven. Motion by Polk seconded by Deitrich to start removing the hourly parking signs downtown. Motion Carried Zibell discussed looking st possibly increasing the summer sewer credit from 15% to possibly 20 or 25%. The committee also looked at different ways for summer sewer credit but decided it would be best to go with a percentage at this time. Zibe …

Lee Gnatzig introduced a ‘Reedsburg Time Machine’ proposal for the HPC website. Discussion was also held on an Agnes Moorehead film festival. The workshops could be used to create a buzz for the future museum, whereas the time machine would be a bigger undertaking. It could be broken down into smaller grants.
