I call to order the City Council meeting of June 1st, 2026. Roll call. >> [ ROLL CALL ] >> Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Please remain standing for a moment of silence. Okay. Item 2, approval changes modifications to the agenda. I would like to propose, and unfortunately I know that's why everyone is here, but I was just told that Councilman Mike Thomas is ill, and I think that we have a lot of important things on the agenda to talk about where we should have a full council. So I'd like to get consensus to table item, item 9B, C, along with D, and then the item, um, the item 11D, charter amendment discussion and selection. So we have a full council to discuss those items. Charter discussion 11D along with item 9B, C, and D. >> Do you feel we need to, um, table items 9B, C, and D? >> I do because we never talked about it as a whole as a council, so that's just my opinion. Everything else we kind of already talked about has been brought up in the past. I think it would be smart to have the council's full discussion on those items because we, we've never talked about those things as a whole on the same board. And if he has if Councilman Thomas has any concerns or anything to that degree, just my thought. >> Working now. >> There it goes. Sorry. So do we need a motion or do we need c …

I'm going to call the planning and zoning meeting for the city of Edgewater for Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, to order. Can we have a roll call, please? Mr. Dwayne? Here. Mr. Alfamitano? No, he's no longer here. Not here. Definitely not here. Mr. Cunningham? Here. Mr. Hatcher? Here. Mr. Mr. Andrew Kovacs. Here. Mr. Kennedy. Here. Mr. McGinnis. Here. Mr. Fisher. Here. Okay there are no minutes to approve this time. There is no old business at this time, so we will move directly to new business. The first item under new business is VA-2605, request for variance to allow a 6-foot fence on the property line in lieu of the required 10-foot side corner yard setback for the property located at 202 Hubble Street. Staff report, please. Thank you, Chair. City staff sent out public notice within 500 feet of the subject property shown on this aerial map in yellow. The applicant is requesting a variance from Article 3, Section 21-3802D to allow a 6-foot opaque fence on the property line in lieu of the requirement on a side corner yard lot with a setback of 10 feet from the Lamont side. The applicant was once before the board and had requested a variance for a 10-foot side yard corner setback. The applicant provided this sketch showing what that current 10-yard or 10-foot side yard setback would look like. It would be on the back south corner against Lamont Street against the house. They are requesting to have the fence on the property line. The code, per Article 3, Section 213802D, does no …
