OPEN MEETING
1. Roll Call- Declaration of a Quorum
Council Present: Mayor Pro Tem Rhoden and Council Members: Pearson, Parker and
Swarek
Council Absent: Mayor Maxton and Council Members: Stroup and Olvera
With a quorum present, the meeting was called to order at 3:00 PM.
2. Pledge of Allegiance - The Pledge of Allegiance was recited in unison.
CITIZENS and GUEST FORUM
3. Citizens to be heard
Mayor Pro Tem Rhoden read a letter from Matt Reigelsperger congratulating Council
Member Swarek on his election. The letter also requested that the City Council prioritize
adoption of an ordinance establishing Child Safety Zones, noting that the initiative
received support during his campaign.
CONSIDERATION/DISCUSSION ITEMS
4, Consideration and possible action approving a resolution canvassing the results
of the General Election held on May 2, 2026
MOTION: Made by Council Member Parker, seconded by Council Member Pearson, to
approve a resolution canvassing the election returns and declaring the
results of the General Election held on May 2, 2026, with the following
candidates receiving a majority of all votes cast: Keith Rhoden, Place 2, and
Jonathan Swarek, Place 6.
VOTE: 4-0; Motion Passed.
