City Council to consider $5.375 million bond notes for Wirt Road infrastructure projects

Law Director Shannon Shannon presented a request from Sergeant Bell
regarding badge number 7 from the Groveport Police Department. He
explained that this badge has significant history, having been worn by
several distinguished officers including Roger Adams (former chief and
father of current Chief Adams), Dean Beritech, Mike Sturgill, Casey
Adams (current chief), and Ernie Bell. The badge is no longer
serviceable and has been replaced. Sergeant Bell requested that the
mayor, in his capacity as chief law enforcement officer, be authorized to
present badge number 7 to Chief Adams in recognition of his years of
service and the badge's sentimental value to the department.
